This course is designed for finance professionals who already use AI tools and want to move from occasional use to confident, consistent daily practice with Microsoft Copilot. Participants will sharpen their prompting skills and apply Copilot directly to real finance tasks, including data reconciliation, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting. The day is highly interactive, built around live exercises using realistic finance datasets. All exercises follow two parallel workflows: one for Copilot Chat (Basic, included with Microsoft 365) and one for Microsoft 365 Copilot (Premium, paid license), so every participant works with the license they already have.

This instructor-led course is designed for commercial teams working extensively with data exports, spreadsheets, reporting and information analysis. The course focuses on using Microsoft Copilot to reduce repetitive work, improve data analysis capabilities and increase productivity when working with large amounts of commercial information.

The training is designed specifically for teams working with large datasets, customer information, sales reports and spreadsheet-heavy workflows

Learning Outcomes

Participants will be able to:

• Reduce manual Excel work

• Analyze commercial data faster

• Compare information more efficiently

• Create reports faster

• Use Copilot for everyday commercial activities

Microsoft Copilot is rapidly becoming one of the most impactful productivity tools available to organisations using Microsoft 365. However, many companies discover that simply providing employees with Copilot licenses does not automatically translate into measurable business value. Without practical guidance, employees often use only a fraction of its capabilities, while opportunities to save time, improve collaboration, and support better decision-making remain untapped.

This two-day instructor-led course helps employees move beyond basic experimentation and develop the confidence to use Microsoft Copilot as part of their everyday work. Rather than focusing on isolated features, the course demonstrates how Copilot can become a practical assistant across the entire organisation—from production planning and quality reporting to financial analysis, HR documentation, engineering collaboration, supply chain communication, and IT knowledge management.

The training is built around realistic manufacturing scenarios, allowing participants to practice with workflows that closely resemble their daily responsibilities. Throughout the course, employees learn how to write effective prompts, analyse data, create professional documents, summarise meetings, automate repetitive communication, and collaborate more efficiently using Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and Copilot Chat.

By the end of the programme, participants leave with practical skills they can apply immediately, reusable prompt libraries tailored to their roles, and proven workflows that help transform Microsoft Copilot from a new technology into a genuine productivity multiplier across the organisation.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

• Understand how Microsoft Copilot fits into the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.

• Write effective prompts that consistently produce useful business results.

• Use Copilot Chat as a daily productivity assistant.

• Summarise meetings, emails, and documents in seconds.

• Analyse Excel data using natural language.

• Create reports, presentations, and professional communications significantly faster.

• Apply department-specific Copilot workflows across manufacturing functions.

• Use Copilot responsibly while protecting company data and maintaining compliance.

• Build reusable prompt libraries for everyday work.

Training Format

• Interactive instructor-led sessions

• Live demonstrations

• Hands-on Microsoft 365 exercises

• Manufacturing-focused case studies

• Individual and collaborative practical labs

Course Customization Options

This course can be fully customized to reflect the organisation's Microsoft 365 environment, internal document templates, reporting formats, approval processes, and departmental workflows. Practical exercises can be built using anonymised production reports, quality records, engineering documentation, financial summaries, HR templates, and supply chain scenarios, ensuring participants practice with situations that closely resemble their everyday work.

Expected Organisational Outcomes

When delivered across multiple departments, this programme helps establish a common approach to AI adoption throughout the organisation. Instead of isolated experimentation, employees develop shared ways of working with Copilot, reducing repetitive administrative work, improving communication, accelerating reporting, and enabling managers to make faster, more informed decisions. The result is not simply greater familiarity with Microsoft Copilot, but a stronger foundation for organisation-wide productivity and collaboration.
